They have states in Europe? I guess so. (Insert Sarah Palin/Africa-related joke here). For those who don’t know where Estonia is (and I don‘t blame you), it’s a state in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. For those of you who don’t know what ocean separates the U.S. from Europe, you should have paid attention in the 11th grade. Not that Sarah Palin is above you, but just don’t pretend like your parents have a summer home “up in Estonia” the next time it comes up.
Hailing from what we’re guessing is a very chilly, windy climate in Estonia, is 24-year old Island Def Jam singing signee, Kerli. Drawing a lot of attention for her Gaga-like image, Kerli actually sings, wears wild outfits and styles her hair yellow-white much like the infamous “Fame Monster” herself, coincidentally.
Kerli’s debut album, Love Is Dead, popped up on the Billboard charts at #126 back in 2008. Then in May of this year, her single “Army of Love” appeared at number one on the “Hot Dance Club Songs” Billboard chart. Citing Bjork and Joni Mitchell as influences, Kerli’s sound is a kind of twisted, warped pop music.
Be sure to catch Kerli performing at the Critical Mass division of the Kanrocksas Music Festival on Saturday, August 6th and take note of what could be an emerging Stateside pop sensation.

her music and style kinda really sucks. Her face is pretty but that’s about it.
