BONOBO and his ever-expanding band is comin’ to town on Monday November 22 at The Granada in Lawrence, KS (18+ show). Featuring the mesmerizing vocalist Andreya Triana, opening act Tokimonsta and an opening DJ set by local favorite Alan Paul. This promises to be one of the most rewarding concerts all year as he supports the outstanding new album “Black Sands”, recently nominated for best album of 2010 by DJ Mag.
We have 3 pairs of tickets to give away. Wanna win? Tell us why you should get a pair. Place your reason in the comment section below.
I should win these tickets because my presence will raise the aesthetic quotient of the show. That, and because when I attend this show I will celebrate surviving my first year with two children. No lives have been lost…yet.
I should win these tickets, because just like an actual Bonobo, I resolve all my disagreements with oral sex.
Plus, I tip bartenders like a New Jersey union rep.
I would great appreciate winning these tickets because honestly college is hard to get by. Currently, I have to live off of less that 100 dollars until January in my own apartment. The lack of funds has made me miss terribly important shows to me all the time. My friend can also not afford the ticket and would be willing to go if he could. I honestly think this show would be a blast. It’s especially important that I go because it’d be the first good show in awhile that I could actually go to since I am 19 and all the other one’s I have missed have been 21+. Bonobo is awesome, Tokimonsta is awesome, and I’d love to hear a little bit of house from Alan Paul. If I could win these tickets, I know I would have an amazing night with the most amazing and meaningful people in my life. Expression through musical appreciation is nearly the most important thing to me.
Thanks for the consideration, this will be an amazing show.
Haha, it’s too early in the morning for that “great” typo. Hope anyone that goes has an awesome experience.
If have it in your heart I’d extremely appreciate a ticket. I’ve just spent next semesters grant on a PA and a modular synthesizer, I had NO IDEA Bonobo was even coming!!! Considering I have to drive an hour, miss work and pay for the lady too, I’ll probably not be able to afford it :(
i’d like to win your contest because i’ve never had the opportunity to see Bonobo. i discovered him earlier this year while listening to his latest LP “Black Sands” and it took me back to when people were producing good trance and IDM tracks. then i started doing some digging about his vox side kick, Andreya Triana. she’s got some pipes man. it should be a great show in a good room. thank you for the contest.
