Mixtape 097

Mr. Alan Alda brings a tasteful blend of house music with his mixtape 097.  DJ Alan Alda likes to eat beef hearts and spleens of squirrels for breakfast. Before becoming a deejay he played Hawkeye Pierce in the famous sitcom M*A*S*H. A rarely seen episode from the ninth season, set in North Korea, reveals Alda mashing up obscure disco records. Post M*A*S*H he established a reputable medical practice in Uijeongbu, South Korea and is one of few American DJ’s to be granted political amnesty by both Korean governments. He also owns several seasonal homes in North Korea and is a frequent guest of Kim Jong-il. He has a cult following in Pyongyang and is contracted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to spin records in a government approved underground speakeasy 49 weeks out of the year. This club (owned by Kim Jong-un, the heir presumptive) promotes intelligent dance music and hand-crafted cocktails from exclusively North Korean sourced ingredients including herbs and edible flowers cultivated within the Daejang’s barracks garden. Text Worker’s Party of Korea @ +850 867530 911 for guest list.  Alda is known for bringing about the Korean Hipster Movement (KHM) and only wears camouflage and tweed three piece suits inspired by his service in the fictional army medical unit 4077 and by his love and respect for Mark Twain and Tom Wolfe.  A residency was graciously granted to him by the infamous Deep Fix and Frisky crew from Kansas City in 2003 and he has since seen releases on Bump Shop, 5280, Edible Grooves, Sampled Recordings, and most recently Audio Indika.  Expect Jazzy, Deep, Chuggy, Acid, and Chicago House Music with minimal Techno and occasional West Coast soulful grooves. (A.K.A NorthKorean/Kansas City House).
