Mixtape 077 comes from the Kansas City dubstep team Evil Bastards. Their debut release “The Frightened EP” is out on Stupid Fly Records.  They also have a new EP release “KABOOM!” released on th UK’s Dubthugz label. You can catch Evil Bastards playing at Sunshine Bassdream 2 this Saturday at the Beaumont in Kansas City, and also at Fatso’s in Lawrence, KS on April 22nd.

Mixtape 076 comes from Maurizio Isca. This 28 year old Italian born DJ and promoter picked up the techno bug while running a restaurant in Ibeza the summer of 2007. Shortly after he moved to Sydney Australia and spent the last several years producing underground parties.  Mauizio has been in Kansas City the last couple of months preparing for his ‘Lets get Deported’ party in Miami on March 25th at the Clevelander Hotel during WMC.  If you are at the conference this year in Miami, you won’t want to miss this one featuring DJs Anthony Papa, Yousef,  Michel Cleis and more.  He will also be DJing at Bar 721 in Miami Beach, March 23rd.

Rob Bohn is a relative newcomer to the Kansas City dance music scene. In a little less than two years, Rob has brought his self proclaimed “Big Room” sound to Gusto Lounge,  Jet at Velvet Dog and Fabric at Club Monaco. Rob has also appeared at Frost at the Midland Theater and the U:Move X-Mas bash.  Rob is also the producer of the Groovematic mix series.  Rob’s sound reflects a heavy influence on big vocals, sultry basslines and explosive build ups and breakdowns.  You can catch Rob April 2 at the Red Eye party at The Gusto Lounge in KC, and this summer at Sunday Solace parties at Californo’s in Westport.
