FSTZ drops mix 063 in our Mixtape series. 2010 has been a great year for this KC dubtep selecter.  He has had several releases out this year available through Beatport including an excellent pair of tracks released through Phantom Hertz Recordings.  FSTZ has been playing regularly around the country including a party recently here in KC with Datsik and at Chicago’s Metro with Eskmo and Liquid Stranger.  You can catch FSTZ this Saturday at The Return of U:Move’s KC Xmas.

Mixtape 059 comes to us from DJ Avant Garde.  New to Kansas City, Avant Garde gained a strong following in his home state of Iowa while attending the University of Iowa in Iowa City.  He hosted a weekly electronic dance music show ‘The IC Essential Mix’ on KRUI-FM and regularly played gigs at The Union Bar and Yacht Club. His time in Iowa offered him opening spots for many acts including French Horn Rebellion, Le Principle. DJ Funk, DJ Vice, and Terrence Parker.  This mixtape presents a seamless flow of various house music styles including Electro, Fidget, Disco and Mash-ups.  You can catch DJ Avant Garde at The Return of U:Move’s KC X-mas.
